At least 130 people were killed and 402 wounded, in a hate-filled attacks targeting three churches and three five-star hotels in Sri Lanka.The explosions happened almost simultaneously between 8.30 am and 9.00 am at St. Anthony’s Church in Kochchikade, Colombo and St. Sebastian’s Church in Nigombo and a church in Batticaloa.
Explosions were also reported at three five-star hotels, the Shangri-La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury in Colombo.
Updated 12.00 pm – 138 people have been killed and 402 wounded, the Director of Colombo National Hospital Dr. Anil Jasinghe told media a short while ago.
According to local media, 48 people died and 283 others were admitted to area hospitals for treatment. National Hospital spokesman Dr. Samindi Samarakoon told The Associated Pres that 30 died while the wounded were being treated in the capital Colombo's main hospital.
Alex Agieleson, who was near the shrine, said buildings shook with the blast, and that a number of injured people were carried away in ambulances.
Local TV showed damage at the Cinnamon Grand, Shangri-La and Kingsbury hotels.
Other blasts were reported at St. Sebastian's Church in Negombo, a majority Catholic town north of Colombo, and at Zion Church in the eastern town of Batticaloa. St. Sebastian's appealed for help on its Facebook page.
The explosion ripped off the roof and knocked out doors and windows at St. Sebastian's, where people carried the wounded away from blood-stained pews, local TV footage showed.

विस्फोट लगभग एक साथ सुबह 8.30 से 9.00 बजे के बीच कोच्चीकेड के सेंट एंथोनी चर्च, कोलंबो और सेंट सेबेस्टियन के निगोम्बो के चर्च और बटियाकोला के एक चर्च में हुआ।
कोलंबो के तीन पांच सितारा होटल, शांगरी-ला, दालचीनी ग्रांड और किंग्सबरी में भी विस्फोट की सूचना मिली थी।
अपडेट किया गया 12.00 बजे - 138 लोग मारे गए और 402 घायल हुए, कोलंबो नेशनल हॉस्पिटल के निदेशक डॉ। अनिल जसिंघे ने कुछ समय पहले मीडिया को बताया।
